THE LAST 50 YEARS

Bagatelle’s rich heritage is rooted in leather and suede. Founded over 50 years ago in 1968, the company was created with one goal in mind: to become the premier design house and manufacturer of leather apparel. CEO Michael Litvack spent 30 years assembling a team of fashion innovators to achieve this goal, growing a branded business with a strong portfolio and transforming from domestic manufacturer to a global importer.

  • Bagatelle has expanded into a worldwide network of manufacturing, design, sourcing, and production between the US, Canada, Asia, and Europe. The New York operation is an additional reflection of the company’s growth, having grown from a team of 3 to over 50 in 2022.

    Today, Bagatelle is in the midst of a new phase of growth, including an expansion into new product categories, brands, licenses, distribution channels, and fresh creative talent. In addition to spearheading the launch of denim and dress lines for halo brand Avec Les Filles, President Jamie Litvack forged an exclusive outerwear licensing agreement with KATHY IRELAND in 2022.
